You can only use voice chat on Nintendo Switch for a modest collection of games. let’s take a look at the voice chat functionality of Nintendo Switch. The first thing to note is that you need the Nintendo Switch Online app to use voice chat. Let’s move onto how you can download the Nintendo Switch Online app.
The Nintendo Switch Online app is accessible for free from the Google Play Store on Android smartphones and tablets, and the App Store in iPhone and iPad devices.
Once you the Nintendo Switch Online App installed and you have opened the App, sign in to the Nintendo Switch Online app. Use the email address and password associated with your Nintendo account to sign in. If you don't have a Nintendo account, tap Create a Nintendo Account at the bottom of the screen and follow the instructions to create a Nintendo account.
Unlike other gaming consoles, Nintendo Switch Online only allows you to use voice chat on a modest handful of games. To check which games support the Nintendo Switch voice chat function, you’ll need to open the app and select Voice Chat. Then, scroll to the ‘Supported Software’ section and you’ll see what’s available. Whilst you are in the online lobby of the game you’re playing, select voice chat in-app. A prompt will then pop-up asking you to Start Voice Chat. From here you can chat with anyone you are currently in a game with.
